LANCE BERELOWITZ AA DIPL MCIP RPP
Lance Berelowitz, is the founding principal of URBAN FORUM ASSOCIATES. Lance is a planner, urban designer, award-winning writer and commentator on urban issues. He consults on urban planning and communications projects across Canada and internationally.

Lance is a powerful and effective communicator. He has written and lectured extensively on Vancouver. He is the author of Dream City: Vancouver and the Global Imagination, his acclaimed book on Vancouver’s planning culture and emerging urban form, which won the City of Vancouver Book Award and was short-listed for the BC Book Prize. He was editor-in-chief of Vancouver’s successful 2010 Olympic Winter Games Bid Book submission to the IOC.

Lance graduated in architecture from the Architectural Association, London. Trained in both architecture and urban planning, he is a multi-disciplinary generalist. He is a member of the Canadian Institute of Planners and the Planning Institute of BC. He has lived and worked in London, Paris, Toronto and Vancouver.

Lance is a past Chair of the Vancouver City Planning Commission and has served on Vancouver’s Urban Design Panel. He has taught at several Canadian universities and is regularly invited to present at international forums.
